Since setting up my website, I've always had an aim in my mind that I would like to add some free resources that could be used by parents or teachers, to help children with their learning. Heather would be the first to say that Maths has never been the easiest subject for her. In her case, repetition helps so I'm always trying to find fun or engaging ways to help her practise. I do love to design little games but at the end of a busy day or a tiring week I would sometimes look for simple resources that I could print out. My hope is that the free resources on this page will be of some use to children, parents, carers or teachers. If they prove to be useful I'll aim to add some more - maybe some festive ones next.
Please note, all these resources are for personal or classroom use only and are not to be resold or redistributed. All images are copyright Heatherbelle Crafts.
Blank Pumpkin Game
This is a simple, printable game that can be filled in as you wish. You could add some actions, instructions or forfeits to the boxes for family games night. Alternatively, you could use the boxes to practise a learning target. For example, you could add weekly spellings and suggest that whoever lands on a box has to close their eyes and try to recite that spelling.
We're currently learning times tables with our youngest daughter so in this example I've added the 4x tables to the boxes. I've also added the answers to the blank pumpkin bingo sheets. Players go round and round the pumpkin board, landing on each question and covering the answer (if they have it) on their bingo card. The winner is the first to cover all their answers.
Alternatively, the bingo cards can be used as a standalone activity.
We use anything we have to hand for the playing pieces, such as small toys. In the example below we used buttons to cover our bingo cards but you could use coins or torn up bits of paper. If you can't find any dice there are some great, simple dice apps available online.
The game can also be coloured in or decorated.

100 Square and Number Lines

A cute, pumpkin themed 100 square and a page of six blank number lines, to help with Maths. These can also be placed in a clear, plastic pocket, which can be written on using a whiteboard marker, meaning the same sheet could be reused.
Wordsearch

The final printable resource on this post is a fun, Autumn wordsearch to keep children busy at home, in the classroom or out and about.
Do let me know what you think of the printable resources and whether you would like to see more in the future.
Would you like to see more of these kind of printable resources in the future?
Yes please, they're useful.
No thanks
